New England Patriots Sign Undrafted Receiver David Wallis, Release Offensive Lineman Andrew Stueber

David Wallis signs deal with Patriots

The Patriots have added a new player to their roster by signing receiver David Wallis, as reported by ESPN’s Mike Reiss. Wallis, who went undrafted out of Randolph-Macon College, impressed during New England’s rookie minicamp and secured a spot on the team. Coming from the Division III level, Wallis had an impressive college career with 146 catches for 3,144 yards and 34 touchdowns in 42 games. In 2023 alone, he recorded 53 receptions for 957 yards and 12 touchdowns. Additionally, Wallis has experience as a kick returner, averaging 20.2 yards per attempt.

Meanwhile, earlier today Reiss also confirmed that offensive lineman Andrew Stueber had been informed of his impending release from the team. Stueber was signed by the Patriots in May after going undrafted out of Michigan State University. However, he did not make it onto the final roster due to competition from other players in his position group.
