New England Patriots Sign Impressive Wide Receiver David Wallis from Randolph Macon College

Report: Rookie tryout WR signs deal with Patriots

The New England Patriots have signed wide receiver David Wallis, who participated in rookie minicamp on a tryout basis, according to ESPN’s Mike Reiss. Wallis played for Randolph Macon College and had an impressive 2023 season, leading the Old Dominion Athletic Conference in receiving yards with 957 and averaging 18.1 yards per reception. He also scored 12 receiving touchdowns during the year and holds the program record with 34 career receiving touchdowns.

Wallis’s performance earned him a spot on the All-ODAC First-Team for the second consecutive year, and he was also named to the All-Region First-Team by D3Football.com. The Patriots have been focused on adding depth at the wide receiver position this offseason, and signing Wallis is another step in addressing that need. This move gives the team another player to work with and potentially develop at the position as they prepare for the upcoming season.
