New England Patriots rookie quarterback Drake Maye has been impressing veteran teammates during Organized Team Activities, showcasing the arm talent that could have made him the No. 3 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft. Jabrill Peppers, a teammate who has been with the Patriots for several seasons, has specifically praised Maye’s ability to make impressive throws.
Despite his talent, Maye has not secured the starting quarterback position in New England. Jacoby Brissett is currently taking the most snaps with the first-string offense. However, the Patriots are viewing Maye as a long-term project and do not necessarily see him as a rookie starter just yet. They believe he has immense potential and will continue to develop his skills on the field.
