New EHS Executives Bring Expertise and Innovation to Improve Healthcare Quality and Expand Services

New leaders come on board at Episcopal Health Services to improve health outcomes in Far Rockaway – QNS

Jennifer Newburger has been appointed as Vice President and Chief Quality Officer at Episcopal Health Services (EHS), while Dr. Jameela Yussuf has taken on the role of Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer. Both executives bring extensive experience and expertise to their new positions, which will be crucial in implementing EHS’s 5-year strategic plan to improve health outcomes and expand services.

Dr. Yussuf, with nearly two decades of healthcare leadership experience, will oversee clinical strategies, workforce planning, and service expansion at EHS. She holds multiple degrees, including an MD from Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and an MPH from SUNY DHSU School of Public Health. Her background in healthcare management will be invaluable in ensuring that EHS delivers comprehensive services to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay.

Ms. Newburger’s background in healthcare quality management includes her previous position as Vice President of Corporate Quality Improvement at Covenant Personal Healthcare. In her new role as Vice President and Chief Quality Officer at EHS, she will focus on quality and patient safety. Her expertise will help ensure that EHS delivers high-quality care to its diverse and underserved populations, who rely on its emergency and ambulatory care services.
