University of North Florida Launches Doctoral Program in Health Administration

In the fall, the University of North Florida will launch a new doctorate program for advanced health care leaders. The doctor of health administration program is now accepting applications, and this innovative initiative reflects the ever-evolving landscape of healthcare.

This applied doctorate program aims to use evidence from clinical, organizational, and policy areas to tackle complex problems in healthcare. Mei Zhao, interim dean of UNF’s Brooks College of Health, explained that the program equips future leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate complexities, drive transformative change, and enhance the quality of healthcare delivery.

Students in this program will have access to internationally recognized faculty and opportunities to network with local health care executives. The program consists of 48 credit hours in a hybrid format, with 80% of coursework being online and 20% being on-campus executive seminars held on weekends.
