New CNO Appointed at VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital Brings Decades of Nursing Experience and Dedication to Patient Care

VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital names new Chief Nursing Officer

VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital has announced the appointment of L’Andrea McLaughlin, RN, DNP, CMSRN, CSSLGB as their chief nursing officer (CNO). McLaughlin brings over 20 years of nursing experience to the role, having worked in various clinical settings including correctional facilities, emergency medicine, and ambulatory care. She has also been teaching healthcare students as a full-time faculty member at Brightpoint Community College and Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Nursing.

McLaughlin has been serving as the interim CNO for Tappahannock Hospital since January 2024 and officially assumed the position on April 28. She is excited to join the hospital’s leadership team and represent the nursing workforce and interprofessional team that delivers high-quality care to patients and the community. With her wealth of experience and dedication to nursing excellence, McLaughlin is well-equipped to lead the nursing department at VCU Health Tappahannock Hospital.
