Wyatt Hendrickson, a two-time All-American from the Air Force Academy, has announced that he will transfer to Oklahoma State University to compete for their wrestling program in the upcoming season. His decision to transfer was shared on his Instagram account and confirmed on “The Barn Session” podcast. Hendrickson expressed his excitement about the opportunity to work with coach David Taylor at Oklahoma State.

Hendrickson had an impressive four-year career at the Air Force Academy, finishing his senior season with a record of 27-2. Throughout his collegiate career, he compiled a 103-11 record and never lost more than twice in a season after his freshman year. His success and experience will be valuable additions to the Oklahoma State wrestling program, which finished 10th in the NCAA Championships.

After finishing in third place at the NCAA Championships in March, Hendrickson entered the transfer portal on April 24. As a requirement due to his status as a Falcon athlete, he needed approval from the United States Air Force to compete for another school. Fortunately, he received the official approval to do so and will be able to Defer his Air Force service while wrestling for Oklahoma State.

Oklahoma State has a rich wrestling history, with 34 team championships and their last title win in 2006. Joining the Cowboys at the same time as Hendrickson is coach David Taylor, a former two-time All-American from Penn State. Taylor brings a wealth of experience and success to the coaching staff, having been part of a program that won 11 team titles since 2011. As they both prepare for their first year at Oklahoma State, the expectations are high for a successful season ahead
