The hospital administrator from Texas, Joseph DeLeon, has now been named as the new CEO of Roper St. Francis Healthcare System, starting in August.
DeLeon currently serves as the president of 851-bed Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, a Level 1 Trauma Center in the Dallas area. With nearly 30 years of experience in senior health care leadership positions and a prior service as a captain in the United States Air Force Medical Services Corps, DeLeon is well-equipped to take on the role of CEO at Roper St. Francis Healthcare System.
Edward McKelvey, chairman of the Roper St. Francis Healthcare Board of Directors, expressed his confidence in DeLeon’s appointment by citing his long history of excellence in healthcare management since 1991 and his experience in leading teams to achieve excellent outcomes for patients and stakeholders alike. The board looks forward to DeLeon’s leadership in continuing to provide quality healthcare and furthering the system’s mission of ‘healing all people with compassion, faith, and excellence.’
