New Beginnings for Sterling Shepard: Joining the Buccaneers in Search of Success

Veteran wide receiver Sterling Shepard signs with Buccaneers

31-year-old veteran wide receiver Sterling Shepard, who had spent eight seasons with the Giants, has officially joined a new NFL team. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reported that Shepard will be signing with the Buccaneers today.

During his time at Oklahoma, Shepard had a successful partnership with his former teammate, quarterback Baker Mayfield. In 2015, when Mayfield became the starter for the team, Shepard was his go-to receiver and they had a strong connection on the field. Despite his age and recent performance, which saw him play in only 15 games and catch just 10 passes for 57 yards in the past season, Shepard may have a chance to prove himself with the Buccaneers and showcase that he still has the skills and determination to contribute to the team.

Shepard’s history of success with Mayfield could be key in making him a valuable addition to the Tampa Bay roster. The Buccaneers are looking for players who can make an impact and help them win games. With his experience and talent, Shepard could be just what they need to take their offense to the next level.
