New 5×5 Position Rankings & Top 300: Catchers, 2nd Basemen, Shorthandstoppers & More

Yahoo Sports June Outfielder Rankings

The latest edition of my rest-of-season position rankings and overall top 300 for 5×5 leagues is now available. I apologize for the delay, as recent changes have forced me to reevaluate my rankings. Surprisingly, there are only about 120 players in the majors capable of hitting right now, despite several top pitchers being injured.

In my outfielder rankings for the rest of the season, Ronald Acuña Jr. has fallen off due to injury, while Michael Harris II is showing some concerning trends. Harris’s move to the top of the Braves lineup against right-handers could boost his value if he continues to perform well and other key players like Austin Riley and Matt Olson improve their performance. However, Harris’s approach and power have declined since his debut in 2022, which raises some questions about his future potential.

Wyatt Langford remains a promising prospect in my rankings due to his power potential and strong contact numbers. Despite playing only 42 minor league games before entering the majors, Langford has shown promise at every level so far and could continue to excel with Evan Carter sidelined for at least a month with a back injury. Langford’s path to success may be clearer than ever before.

The White Sox surprised many by promoting Duke Ellis from Double-A recently, given his modest batting statistics in the minors. However, Ellis is known for his base-stealing abilities and went 34-for-35 at the start of this season before getting injured. While Ellis may not hit well enough to secure regular playing time immediately, his speed could provide a valuable source of steals if he gets an opportunity in the White Sox outfield once he returns from injury.
