Jalyn Gramstad, NAIA Player of the Year, Signs with Nebraska Football

Nebraska’s football program welcomed another player from the transfer portal on Thursday afternoon, bringing in Jalyn Gramstad, the reigning NAIA Player of the Year. Gramstad made the announcement on social media, revealing that he will be joining the Huskers for the upcoming season after participating in their postgraduate camp earlier in the month.

Before joining Nebraska, Gramstad spent four seasons at Northwestern College as a quarterback. During his time with the Red Raiders, he led them to a 14-1 season and made it all the way to the NAIA Championship. Gramstad’s standout performance included throwing for 3,681 yards, 35 touchdowns, and just nine interceptions with a 67.8% completion rate. He also rushed for 780 yards and scored eight touchdowns.

Gramstad’s exceptional season at Northwestern College earned him numerous accolades, including NAIA Player of the Year. Over 52 games, he completed 438 passes out of 647 attempts for 6,237 yards and 60 touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,822 yards and scored 31 touchdowns on 327 carries.

With Gramstad now part of their quarterback room, Nebraska is looking forward to having an experienced and talented addition to their roster this upcoming season.
