The Cornhuskers discovered Hoffken at a football clinic in Houston, where they were impressed by his skills and potential. Initially, reports suggested that Hoffken may play on the offensive line; however, after discussions with the coaching staff, he ultimately decided to remain on the defensive line. His size, athleticism, and mobility make him better suited for defense, and he is confident in his decision.
