Nebraska Cornhuskers Land Promising German Defensive Prospect, David Hoffken

German defensive end pledges commitment to Nebraska

A defensive end from Germany, David Hoffken, has committed to play for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 257 pounds, Hoffken is a promising prospect hailing from Keil, Germany. He received a scholarship offer from the Cornhuskers coaching staff earlier this month and recently confirmed his acceptance on social media.

The Cornhuskers discovered Hoffken at a football clinic in Houston, where they were impressed by his skills and potential. Initially, reports suggested that Hoffken may play on the offensive line; however, after discussions with the coaching staff, he ultimately decided to remain on the defensive line. His size, athleticism, and mobility make him better suited for defense, and he is confident in his decision.

At just 22 years old with eligibility intact, Hoffken will be joining the Cornhuskers later this summer. Fans can stay updated on Nebraska news, notes and opinions by following @CornhuskersWire on X and liking their page on Facebook.
