The Wolfpack’s magical NCAA Tournament run continued as they secured their eighth consecutive win since the start of the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament, defeating Marquette 67-58 and advancing to the Elite Eight for the first time since 1986. N.C. State’s 25-14 record this season, coupled with their recent momentum in the tournament, has positioned them as a strong contender in the South Region.

The Sweet 16 matchup unfolded on the 50th anniversary of N.C. State’s first national championship win in 1974 against Marquette, and their hopes of a second title in 1983 seemed promising.
