In October 2023, during the WWE’s visit to Indianapolis for “Fastlane,” former NFL player turned commentator Pat McAfee advocated for another Wrestlemania in the city. Recent reports suggest that Indianapolis may indeed be hosting the 2025 Royal Rumble at Lucas Oil Stadium, along with potential future Wrestlemania and Summerslam events.
The city has a rich history of hosting major WWE events, with Wrestlemania taking place there in 1992 and Summerslam in 2008. However, it has yet to host a Royal Rumble. If a deal between WWE and Indiana Sports Corp comes through, it could bring even more exciting events to the area and add to its already impressive wrestling legacy.
