NBA Star Domantas Sabonis Prioritizes Mental Health: Deleting Social Media for a More Focused Game

Domantas Sabonis has decided to prioritize his mental health before the upcoming NBA season. He made the choice to delete all of his social media accounts as a way to eliminate negativity and focus on his game. The decision was shared by Sabonis in an interview with ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on the “Woj Pod.”

Sabonis explained that getting rid of social media has been beneficial for him. By removing himself from the online world, he no longer has to worry about the opinions of strangers and can instead focus on the support of his coaches, family, and teammates. He believes that their views are the only ones that matter to him, allowing him to trust in his own abilities and perform to the best of his capabilities without any distractions.

The 2023-24 NBA season has been a successful one for Sabonis, who has maintained impressive statistics throughout the year. With averages of 19.5 points, 13.8 rebounds, and 8.3 assists per game over 78 appearances, he has proven that he can excel on the court without the influence of social media. Sabonis has also achieved an impressive feat of 61 consecutive double-doubles, showcasing his focus and dedication to his craft.
