NBA Draft Preview: Oklahoma City Thunder Begin Gearing Up for 2024 NBA Draft

Jermaine Couisnard from Oregon participates in predraft workout with Thunder

With June now upon us, NBA teams are gearing up for the 2024 NBA draft, scheduled for June 26-27. The Oklahoma City Thunder, who will enter the draft with the No. 12 overall pick, have already begun hosting players for workouts and visits in preparation for the big day.

One player who has already had a predraft workout with the Thunder is Oregon’s Jermaine Couisnard. A 25-year-old guard who played five college seasons from 2019-24, Couisnard could be a potential undrafted free agent target for the Thunder. In his most recent season at Oregon, he averaged 16.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game while shooting 40% from the field and 34.6% from 3-point range on nearly six attempts per game. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing in at 215 pounds, Couisnard possesses good size for his position.

The Thunder may also look to add undrafted free agents or potentially buy back into the second round for the right player to complement their current roster. A comprehensive list of all draft prospects who have participated in workouts or visits with the Thunder can be found on their website.
