Nine Principles for Building Responsible AI Systems through Research and Development

The Ministry of Science and Technology has laid down a set of general principles for responsible research and development of AI systems in Decision No. 1290 issued on June 11. These principles include promoting cooperation and innovation, ensuring transparency in AI system development, controlling system capabilities, assessing and mitigating risks, focusing on security and confidentiality, respecting user privacy, upholding human rights and dignity, providing user support, and implementing accountability for AI systems.

These principles aim to guide developers in creating AI systems that prioritize safety, reliability, and ethical considerations. The development of standards in AI technology is crucial for guiding and orienting the benefits of AI systems while minimizing risks. The Ministry emphasized the need to balance economic, ethical, and legal factors in the development and use of artificial intelligence.
