NASCAR Cup Series: Cole Custer Secures Second Position for Saturday’s Race at Texas Motor Speedway

Jesse Love earns pole position in Texas Xfinity starting lineup

Cole Custer, the 2018 winner at Texas Motor Speedway, has secured the second position for Saturday afternoon’s race. With a fast lap of 185.471 mph, Custer just missed out on the pole position, which was won by rookie Jesse Love with a lap of 185.612 mph.

Taylor Gray and Chandler Smith rounded out the top five qualifiers, with Riley Herbst also making it into the top ten. Smith had the best qualifying position among the Dash 4 Cash drivers, with Justin Allgaier, Sam Mayer, and Sheldon Creed also vying for the $100,000 bonus.

Despite having only 38 drivers on the entry list, all were able to secure spots for Saturday’s race. The action is set to kick off at 1:32 p.m. ET on FS1, with pre-race festivities beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET with NASCAR RaceDay leading up to the start of the race.
