NASA Awards $55 Million Contract to Summit Technologies & Solutions for Technology Transfer Program Support

NASA Chooses Contractor for Technology Transfer Services

NASA has recently awarded a new contract to Summit Technologies & Solutions, Inc. in Alexandria, Virginia for their Technology Transfer Program support. This firm-fixed price contract has the potential to be worth up to $55 million, with a maximum value of $26 million during the one-year base period that will begin on Saturday, June 1st.

Summit Technologies & Solutions is a HUBZone small business set-aside contractor and will play an important role in identifying and protecting NASA’s intellectual property with commercial potential. They will transfer these technologies to entrepreneurs, companies, universities, non-profits, business incubators, and innovation ecosystems as well as state and local governments. The ultimate goal is to create jobs, promote economic development and technological advantages for American companies while improving life here on Earth.

This new contract allows Summit Technologies & Solutions to continue providing valuable support to NASA at multiple centers including the agency’s headquarters in Washington D.C., Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama and Stennis Space Center in Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi. There is also potential for support at other agency field centers under the enterprise contract.
