Nantahala Health Foundation Launches Competitive Grant Opportunity for Educational, Healthcare, and Workforce Programs Benefiting Youth and Young Adults

Grant Cycle Launched by Nantahala Health Foundation to Support Youth

The Nantahala Health Foundation is set to launch its next competitive grant opportunity on July 1, with a focus on educational, healthcare, and workforce programs that benefit youth and young adults aged 5 to 24. The foundation aims to invest in initiatives that will help these individuals thrive and succeed in various aspects of their lives.

Lori Bailey, Executive Director of the foundation, emphasized the importance of investing in children and young adults, stating that they need a supportive community, healthy relationships, quality healthcare, and education opportunities to set them up for success. Additionally, as they transition into adulthood, access to job opportunities becomes crucial.

Since 2019, the foundation has invested nearly $3.5 million in regional programs and leveraged over $15 million for improved health outcomes. The upcoming grant cycle starting on July 1 is projected to allocate up to $300,000 in additional grant funding to support the region. Grant award announcements are scheduled for December.

To learn more about the funding priorities, application process, review criteria, and expected outcomes, agency representatives are encouraged to attend an in-person session taking place in Franklin and Murphy in early July. Registration is requested to ensure sufficient space is available.

The Nantahala Health Foundation seeks public support to enhance its impact further by raising $50,000 from individuals and business leaders who share its goals of improving the lives of youth and young adults in the community by visiting NantahalaHealthFoundation.org/grantmaking or calling (828) 634-1527 for registration information.
