The Thursday Evening Women’s City Park Tennis League is hosting a Mother’s Day Doubles Tournament on Saturday, May 11 at 9 a.m. The tournament will take place at Parkersburg City Park and the goal is to finish by 2 p.m. There will be two or three divisions based on the number and skill level of players participating. Players can play with family members or adopt a partner for the tournament. The entry fee is $15 per team, covering balls and lunch. In golf news, Brian Boston from Washington scored a hole-in-one on Friday at Oxbow Golf Course. Boston used a 6-iron to ace the 121-yard, par-3, No. 13 hole. His accomplishment was witnessed by Bryan Barrett.
