Moroccan and Catalan companies: an alliance to face the economic and industrial challenges of the future

The Morocco-Spain Economic Council (CEMAES) is hosting a three-day event in Casablanca, Rabat, and Tangiers from June 4 to 6. The purpose of the event is to encourage investment and business partnerships between companies in Morocco and Catalonia.

The delegation will kick off their visit on June 4 in Casablanca with a meeting with the CGEM and the Official Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Morocco-Casablanca. The Moroccan Minister of Investment will meet with the delegation on the morning of the 5th, followed by a meeting with the Caisse de Dépot et de Gestion in the afternoon. The visit will conclude in Tangier with a business meeting with employers in northern Morocco and member companies of CEMAES and CGEM Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima.

The primary goal of this visit to the three regions with significant economic importance is to promote investment and business partnerships between Moroccan and Catalan companies. CEMAES was established through a collaboration agreement signed in 2013 in Rabat in the presence of the King and Queen of Spain and Morocco, as well as government officials from both countries. This agreement was made between the Confédération Générale des Entreprises du Maroc (CGEM) and the Spanish Confederation of Business Organisations (CEOE). The main objectives of CEMAES, which brings together business leaders from both countries, are to foster bilateral business collaborations, strengthen trade relations, and promote reciprocal investments.
