Montgomery ISD’s $80 Million Career and Technical Education and Agricultural Science Centers are Set to Transform Local Education by 2025!

Montgomery ISD Breaks Ground on Technical Education and Agricultural Science Centers

Montgomery ISD’s $80 million career and technical education and agricultural science centers are set to be completed by July 2025. Preconstruction work began in mid-November, with the board approving a guaranteed maximum price of $65.3 million for construction costs in January. The total estimated cost for both centers is $80 million.

The groundbreaking ceremony, held on April 26, marked a significant milestone in the development of these state-of-the-art facilities. The centers will measure a combined 189,000 square feet once completed and are expected to enhance educational opportunities for students in the district. They will also help prepare students for successful futures in various career fields.

Montgomery City Council agreed during a meeting on March 26 to cover up to about one-third of the cost for necessary waterline upgrades for the project. This shows the community’s commitment to supporting the development of these new facilities, which will have a positive impact on local education.

As construction continues and with a targeted completion date in 2025, the community can look forward to seeing the benefits that these new centers will bring to Montgomery ISD and its students.
