The National Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week is a time to recognize the emergency medical professionals who play a vital role in enhancing the health of our community. This year, the week is being celebrated from May 19-25 and is presented by the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) in partnership with the National Associations of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT). These organizations work together to ensure that the contributions of EMS practitioners in safeguarding the health, safety, and well-being of their communities are fully recognized and celebrated.
Mon Health System is joining in on the celebration by recognizing local EMS partners that provide front-line care in collaboration with its hospitals. Throughout the week, Mon Health System staff members will visit local EMS agencies to distribute treats and goodies as a token of appreciation for their dedication to emergency care. Dr. Christopher Edwards, the Emergency Services Director of Mon Health System and Chief Administrative Officer of Mon Health Marion Neighborhood Hospital expressed pride in partnering with EMS agencies and honoring their commitment to providing timely, high-quality care to patients.
During EMS Week, it is important to recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication of emergency medical professionals who play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our communities. To learn more about Mon Health System and their services, visit their website at MonHealth.com.
