Over 70,000 attendees at the inaugural MolFest

The first edition of MolFest, a festival dedicated to POP culture that took place on 29 and 30 June in Molfetta, was a resounding success with over 70,000 attendees. Organized by STEP srl under the aegis of the Municipality of Molfetta, the event turned the city’s historic center into a vibrant stage, featuring interesting content and guests. With free admission, the festival offered a wide range of activities, engaging over 60 local associations who brought creativity and passion to the event.

The theme of “Kindness” aimed to promote empathy and inclusiveness, reflected not only in the programming but also in the official poster created by local artist Ennio Bufi. Highlights of the event included Cristina D’Avena’s concert on the Main Stage and the Disney magic of the ANIMEniacs Corp returning from “Italia’s Got Talent.” The event also featured a Cosplay Contest, K-Pop performances, and itinerant music from Valkanorr. MolFest didn’t just focus on music and entertainment; it also included educational events and presentations such as Prof. Giovanni Covone’s talk on “Simpsons and Astronomy” and a trailer screening of a documentary on Luciano Pavarotti.
