Minnesota Secures a Significant Victory Against Wisconsin in the Class of 2025 with Commitment of Naiim Parrish: An Insight into the Changing Recruitment Landscape for Secondary Positions

Top Wisconsin class of 2025 cornerback prospect chooses Minnesota in surprise commitment

Minnesota has landed a significant victory in their rivalry against Wisconsin with the commitment of cornerback target Naiim Parrish. Although he had originally planned another official visit to Wisconsin on June 14, Parrish ultimately chose to commit to Minnesota after his visit.

Despite the setback for Wisconsin, they have recently secured a commitment from three-star CB Jahmare Washington, bringing their class of 2023 total to five secondary commits. With this quality of commits at the position in their 2023 and 2024 classes, it is unlikely that Wisconsin will be pursuing many more cornerbacks in this cycle.

Parrish, a highly sought-after recruit, is ranked as the No. 1,044 player in the class of 2025 by 247Sports. He is also ranked as the No. 84 athlete and the No. 31 recruit from New Jersey. His commitment to Minnesota gives them a strong foundation for their class of 2025, which currently ranks at No. 19 in the nation with only one composite four-star recruit yet to add.
