Minnesota Craft Breweries Shine at World Beer Cup Awards in Las Vegas

Winning breweries in Minnesota received medals at the World Beer Cup Awards.

Minnesota craft breweries made a big splash at the World Beer Cup Awards in Las Vegas this week. The competition, which attracts entries from over 2,000 breweries worldwide and features 110 categories, saw six Minnesota breweries take home medals.

Jess Talley, executive director of the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild, praised the breweries for their passion and hard work that led to their success. The awards served as a testament to the quality of beer produced by Minnesota’s craft breweries and brewpubs. Craft beer fans in Minnesota have long known that some of the best beer in the world comes from their own backyard.

Bent Paddle Brewing Co., Northbound Smokehouse and Brewpub, Excelsior Brewing Co., Lupulin Brewing, BeerClub Brewing, and Pryes Brewing Co. all earned medals at the event for their exceptional beers such as Little Dussel Do-Ya, Doppelbock, Big Island Citrus Blonde Ale, Dortmunder, Doppel doppel Bock bock, and Idyll Forest Soiree.
