Minkyu Kim and Younghan Song Qualify for The Open through Korean Series, Guido Migliozzi Earns Spot in Playoff at KLM Open

Four players earn spots in the Open Championship at Royal Troon through qualifying series

Minkyu Kim won the Kolon Korea Open and secured a three-shot victory, earning him his second career Open Championship berth at the age of 23. This was Kim’s first Korea Open title and he also qualified for the 2022 Open at St. Andrews earlier that year. Meanwhile, Guido Migliozzi emerged victorious in a playoff at the DP World Tour’s KLM Open, beating Joe Dean and Marcus Kinhult to earn two Open berths available through the tournament. Runner-up Younghan Song also punched his ticket to Royal Troon next month through the Open Qualifying Series, having tied for 62nd in his first one back in 2017.

In addition to Kim and Song, several other players have already qualified for The Open via this series, including those who won at the Joburg Open, Australian Open, Malaysian Open, Arnold Palmer Invitational, Mizuno Open, RBC Canadian Open, and Memorial Tournament. However, there are still three events remaining before The Open takes place on July 18-21 at Royal Troon in Scotland: the John Deere Classic, Italian Open and Genesis Scottish Open.
