Miniatures, Mental Health, and Dungeons & Dragons: Exploring Creativity and Happiness at the Montgomery Museum of Art & History.

Montgomery Museum Features Miniature Art and Mental Health Program

The Montgomery Museum of Art & History in Montgomery County, Virginia is excited to announce its spring showcase of fun miniature art and the return of a popular program. Miniature Artist Blake Gore and the museum’s Emerging Leaders Advisory Board Co-Chair Alan Waters recently appeared on Here @ Home to invite people to visit the museum this season.

Gore’s work can be viewed in the current exhibit titled “Creativity Enclosed: Reusing Historic Safe Deposit Boxes.” Visitors can draw inspiration from Gore’s work for their own miniature art creations at an upcoming “Miniature Easel Workshop” led by Amanda Kelly on Saturday, April 27 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The workshop promises to be a creative and engaging experience for participants.

In May, the museum will be hosting the Art of Happiness program in honor of Mental Health Awareness month. This program offers an interactive exploration of positive psychology and the ways in which art can contribute to overall happiness and well-being.

In addition to these events, the museum has other exciting things on the horizon, including “The Heist of Montgomery Bank,” a live play Dungeons and Dragons event scheduled for Saturday, April 20 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. These events are sure to provide entertainment and inspiration for visitors of all ages.
