Military Veteran Struggles for Justice after Life-Threatening Misdiagnosis in Army”.

Soldier nearly dies from septic shock after being diagnosed with virus

The soldier who had been drafted into the army with a 45 “profile” fell ill four months later. Despite seeking medical help multiple times with symptoms including high fever, abdominal pain, diarrhea, sore throat, and breathing difficulties, he was repeatedly told it was a common virus. It was only after his condition worsened that he was diagnosed with septic shock and underwent surgery to save his life.

The delay in diagnosing the bacterial infection caused significant harm to the soldier, leading to a lifetime of disability. As a result of his condition, he is now considered disabled by the IDF and will undergo a medical commission to determine his level of disability and entitlement to benefits.

Despite facing this challenging situation, the soldier remains focused on seeking justice and accountability for the harm he suffered. His story serves as a reminder of the importance of timely and accurate medical care, especially in critical situations like the one he experienced.
