Miles Bridges’ potential addition to the Clippers roster: A second chance at redemption for a dynamic forward

The Los Angeles Clippers are reportedly interested in signing unrestricted free-agent forward Miles Bridges, according to sources. If a sign-and-trade deal is arranged with the Charlotte Hornets, the Clippers would need to send a draft pick to acquire Bridges. Last season, Bridges averaged 21 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 3.3 assists while shooting 46.2% from the field for the Hornets.

Possible players that have been mentioned in connection with a trade for Bridges include Norman Powell, who earns $19.2 million, and Terance Mann, who earns $11.5 million. Adding the 6-foot-7 Bridges to the Clippers roster would be a significant upgrade, especially after the departure of All-Star forward Paul George, who signed with the Philadelphia 76ers on a lucrative deal.

Bridges, who is 26 years old, has faced challenges in the past, including legal issues related to alleged domestic violence incidents. Despite these setbacks, people close to Bridges believe that he has learned from his mistakes and see the Clippers as a team that would provide him with a second chance. The team’s owner, Steve Ballmer, has shown a willingness to give players opportunities for redemption.

The Clippers recently signed guard Kevin Porter Jr., who also had a legal issue involving assault, demonstrating their willingness to work with players who are seeking to turn their lives around. Bridges is said to have respect for Clippers coach Tyronn Lue and would welcome the opportunity to play under his guidance. The Clippers hope to remain competitive with their roster moves following the departure of Paul George.

In summary, if Miles Bridges signs with Los Angeles Clippers through trade or free agency move it could be beneficial for both teams as he brings significant upgrades on defense and scoring ability while adding new dynamic player on roster after departure of All Star forward Paul George
