The Government released a preliminary report on its 2025 Budget project on Wednesday, amid economic instability and fluctuations in the value of the dollar. The document emphasized Javier Milei’s commitment to maintaining a zero deficit and highlighted the decrease in inflation during his administration.

The draft sent to Congress outlined the government’s efforts to achieve fiscal balance, reduce inflation, improve the Central Bank’s balance sheet, and strengthen international reserves. According to the report, the government aims to maintain macroeconomic stability in 2025 to boost the country’s productive potential and create a conducive environment for private investment, increased productivity, and growth in activity, employment, and income.

Minister of Economy Luis Caputo is set to formally present the 2025 Budget project on September 15 to begin its discussion in the Chamber of Deputies. The report also outlined the government’s decision to remove social organizations from the management of welfare plans and highlighted efforts to expand social assistance to vulnerable sectors. In addition to these policies aimed at promoting economic growth and stability, Milei has also pushed for modernization and simplification of state institutions with plans for a more effective and citizen-friendly government. The emphasis is placed on centralizing public administration support for private enterprise while freeing up resources that can be used by businesses. Overall, it appears that Milei is committed to continuing his policies that aim towards economic prosperity in Argentina.
