Michael Irvin Faces Legal Battle over False Sexual Harassment Claims, Misses Out on NFL Network Draft Coverage

Prominent NFL Network Personality Departs as Network Announces Further Updates

Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin is not being renewed at NFL Network due to budget cuts, according to the New York Post. Irvin, 58, has been with NFL Network since 2009 as an analyst and also appears on FS1’s Undisputed. He was featured on the Sunday pregame show GameDay Morning and is a three-time Super Bowl champion. In February 2023, he was pulled from the network’s Super Bowl week coverage following harassment accusations but returned after settling a defamation lawsuit.

Recent headlines about LeBron James, Kevin Durant, and the NFL rankings by various sports analysts also make up the news cycle. The sports world continues to generate buzz with key players and teams making headlines. In April 2023, it was reported that Irvin would not be part of NFL Network’s 2023 NFL Draft coverage. He filed a lawsuit against a woman who made false accusations about his conduct, suggesting a potential “cancel culture” scheme. His ongoing absence from NFL media could indicate belief in the validity of the claims against him.
