Micah Hyde’s Future in Football: A Journey Towards Recovery and Uncertainty with the Buffalo Bills

Micah Hyde discusses plans for the future ahead of charity softball event

As a free agent, Buffalo Bills safety Micah Hyde’s future in football remains uncertain. Despite playing for the team since 2017, his 2022 season was cut short by a neck injury that kept him out for the majority of the year and caused him to miss three games last year.

Nevertheless, Hyde has stated that he is only considering playing for the Bills or retiring. He has been in communication with general manager Brandon Beane and head coach Sean McDermott about his future in football. At 33 years old, Hyde is focused on maintaining his health and prioritizing his family, but also has a desire to win a Super Bowl.

On Sunday at 2 p.m., Hyde will host his annual charity softball game at Sahlen Field in downtown Buffalo. The event will feature several Bills players, including quarterback Josh Allen. Last year, the game raised $400,000 for Hyde’s foundation, the Imagine for Youth Foundation.
