In March 2026, the LoanDepot Park in Miami will host the finals of the World Baseball Classic, joining Tokyo Dome in Japan, Hiram Bithorn Stadium in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Minute Maid Park in Houston as the other three venues for the tournament. This will be the first time that Miami and Houston have hosted WBC games.

The World Baseball Classic has been gaining popularity among American fans since its debut in 2006. Japan has emerged as a dominant force in the competition, winning three out of the five tournaments held so far. In the most recent edition, Japan secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over Team USA, with Shohei Ohtani striking out Mike Trout to clinch the win.

Teams that finished in the top four of each of the four pools in the 2023 tournament have already qualified for the 2026 World Baseball Classic. The remaining four spots will be determined in qualifiers set to take place in 2025. As excitement builds among baseball fans for the next edition of this popular tournament, it’s clear that this sporting event is becoming increasingly important on a global scale.
