Messenger Upgrades Photo-Sharing Features: HD Images, Shared Albums and Larger File Sharing

New features on Messenger: HD photo sending, shared albums, and 100MB file sharing

Messenger users can now enjoy an enhanced photo-sharing experience thanks to Meta’s latest updates. With the ability to send HD images and create shared albums, conversations and connections on the platform have been greatly improved.

To send HD photos in a chat, users can activate the HD option and select multiple images at once. They can also create shared albums to keep their memories organized with their contacts and friends. To do this, they simply need to select the photos and videos they want to include, click on ‘Create album’, name it and add it to an existing album or create a new one. All chat participants can view, add, delete and download the images and videos in the shared album.

In addition to these features, Meta has introduced a new option that allows users to send larger files of up to 100MB in Messenger chats, supporting major file formats like Word, PDF and Excel. This makes sharing files easier and more convenient for users. Additionally, Meta has introduced a new feature that lets users add contacts via QR codes – this allows for easy connection without sharing personal information.

These updates are being gradually rolled out in Messenger and the shared album feature is expected to become available in the coming weeks. Overall, these changes aim to enhance user experience on the platform while making communication more seamless for its users.
