Chapel Hill hosts summit on mental health and suicide prevention in North Carolina

In Chapel Hill, North Carolina, leaders from various communities gathered at the UNC Friday Center to discuss suicide prevention and mental health resources. The summit’s focus was on sharing resources to help struggling communities. Suicide is a significant issue in North Carolina, with it being the second leading cause of death for youth ages 10 to 18 and the third leading cause for those ages 19 to 34, according to NCDHHS.

The group came together to build connections and raise awareness about suicide prevention at the Statewide Summit on Suicide Prevention.
