Mayor Bynum to Join Saint Francis Health System as Vice President of Community and Government Affairs

G.T. Bynum, who has served as the mayor of Tulsa for six years, will be joining the Saint Francis Health System as the vice president of community and government affairs when his term ends later this year. This announcement was made by Saint Francis Health System President and CEO Dr. Cliff Robertson on Saturday. Dr. Robertson praised Bynum as a visionary leader for the city of Tulsa and expressed his pride in welcoming him to the Saint Francis team.

In his new role, Bynum will be responsible for overseeing community and government affairs at Saint Francis Health System. He will transition to this position after leaving office in December. Mayor Bynum expressed his admiration for the Saint Francis Health System and its impact on the community.

Prior to his tenure as mayor, Bynum served on the Tulsa City Council for eight years. He was reelected in 2020 and has also been involved in public service for a quarter of a century. Mayor Bynum expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to work in service to heroes who save lives and believes that his experience in public service will benefit the Saint Francis Health System moving forward.

As he takes on his new role, Mayor Bynum highlighted the excellence instilled by the Warren family and other healthcare leaders in the Tulsa community over the past 64 years.

“The Warren family has done an incredible job building one of the best healthcare systems in our country,” said Mayor Bynum. “I’m honored to join such a dedicated team.”

Dr. Robertson welcomed Mayor Bynum with open arms, expressing excitement about what he brings to their organization.

“Mayor Bynum is an excellent fit for our team,” said Dr. Robertson. “His leadership skills are unmatched, and we’re thrilled to have him join us.”
