Max McGreevy Secures Second Win on Korn Ferry Tour, Earning Spot Back on PGA Tour; Illini Players Impress in Springfield

McGreevy Takes Victory at Memorial Health Championship, Standout Performances from Two Illini Players

Max McGreevy, a graduate from Oklahoma, secured his second win on the Korn Ferry Tour by making a birdie on the final hole of the tournament. Despite bogeying the 17th hole and entering the final hole tied for the lead, he managed to card a two under 69 to seal the victory. This win earns McGreevy a spot back on the PGA Tour, where he previously played before losing his card.

Meanwhile, two Illini players also had a successful weekend at the tournament. Jackson Buchanan, in his Korn Ferry Tour debut, finished tied for 39th after posting 13-under. This makes him the only amateur in the field to make the weekend. Dylan Meyer, who finished T48 in Springfield, was left wanting more after an even-par 71. However, he was able to take away a positive finish and paycheck as he continues to work towards gaining full-time status.

The John Deere Classic is set to begin on Thursday, July 4 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. This tournament will provide another opportunity for players to showcase their skills and compete for a chance to advance their careers in professional golf.
