Marvel’s “Captain America: Brave New World” – A Grounded Political Thriller with a Familiar Face.

Exclusive Sneak Peek of ‘Brave New World’ Revealed at CinemaCon

Marvel Studios is set to release Captain America: Brave New World in 2025, and fans are eagerly anticipating the new film. While they won’t have a chance to see any footage from the movie until San Diego Comic Con, exhibitors got an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming Anthony Mackie film during Disney’s closing CinemaCon session.

During the presentation at Caesars Palace at the Colosseum, Marvel Studios Boss described Captain America: Brave New World as a “grounded political thriller.” The film picks up after the events of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, where Sam Wilson takes over the shield left behind by Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). Anthony Mackie, who has starred in Marvel movies for ten years, expressed his excitement about starring in his own Marvel film.

The clip shown during the presentation featured Harrison Ford’s character, POTUS, asking Sam Wilson to rebuild the Avengers after being impressed with what he did in Mexico. However, Wilson raises concerns about potential disagreements on managing the new team. In another scene, Ford is making a presentation to a room full of authorities when a couple of people in the crowd become possessed and turn on them, leading to an intense confrontation reminiscent of Air Force One.

Directed by Julius Onah from a script by Malcolm Spellman, Dallan Musson, and Matthew Orton, Captain America: Brave New World is set to release on February 14th, 2025.
