Marvell Technology Unveils Revolutionary Digital Signal Processor for Artificial Intelligence Applications

Marvell’s Latest Digital Signal Processor Technology Elevates AI Data Center Performance – Marvell Tech (NASDAQ:MRVL)

Marvell Technology, Inc. (MRVL) has recently introduced the Marvell Alaska A 1.6T PAM4 digital signal process for active electrical cables. This new device is the first of its kind and offers 1.6 Tbps AEC DSP to meet the increasing bandwidth demands driven by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning applications.

The latest addition to Marvell’s Alaska A family is built on a 5nm process and utilizes Marvell’s PAM4 DSP technology to enable short-reach copper interconnect solutions for accelerated infrastructure. The AEC silicon market is expected to grow at 64% annually, reaching $1 billion by 2028, according to 650 Group. Alan Weckel, co-founder of 650 Group, highlighted the importance of AI in driving the need for short-reach copper connectivity at 1.6T.

Marvell’s introduction of its Alaska 1.6T AEC DSP continues the company’s track record of delivering top-tier PAM DSPs, enabling cable vendors to offer optimized interconnect solutions for various cloud AI architectures. Analysts have identified Broadcom Inc (AVGO) and Marvell as leaders in the surging $20 billion—$30 billion custom chip (ASIC) market, which is being driven by the generative AI frenzy.

At the last check on Thursday, MRVL shares traded higher by 1.24% at $69.10. This content is a product of AI tools and has been reviewed and published by Benzinga editors. Market news and data presented here are brought to you by Benzinga APIs. © 2024 Benzinga
