All-In Milwaukee orientation hosted by College of Business Administration

Marquette University’s College of Business Administration recently hosted a new scholar orientation and reception for All-In Milwaukee, a local higher education nonprofit. The event brought together 150 high school graduates from the Milwaukee area who are attending one of the eight All-In Milwaukee university partners.

Tim Hanley, the acting James H. Keyes Dean of the College of Business Administration, expressed pride in welcoming an organization that does so much for local students. He highlighted Marquette University’s long-standing commitment to providing better opportunities for young people and their families, and praised All-In Milwaukee as a valuable partner in furthering that mission.

All-In Milwaukee is a college completion program that offers financial aid, advising, and career support to diverse Milwaukee students from low-income families. Eighty-seven percent of participants are first-generation students. Marquette University is one of the eight local schools that collaborate with All-In Milwaukee, with around 40 percent of program participants attending Marquette.

The university supports All-In Milwaukee students through the All-In Marquette College Completion Scholarship, which is made possible by a donation from the Jackson family. Students who have been admitted to the College of Nursing and have applied for the All-In Milwaukee scholarship are eligible for this award. Recent donations from United Healthcare and the Metropolitan Milwaukee Association of Commerce have further bolstered Marquette University’s efforts to fund scholarships for All-In Milwaukee students. A total of $600,000 was donated to support scholars across the eight collegiate partners, demonstrating a commitment to providing educational opportunities for deserving students in the Milwaukee community.
