Technology Division of Marcum acquires IT Enhanced Managed Services Group from CliftonLarsonAllen

On Monday, Marcum Technology, a division of the top 15 accounting firm Marcum, announced that it had acquired the IT Enhanced Managed Services division of the top 10 accounting firm CLA (CliftonLarsonAllen). The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. This acquisition has expanded Marcum Technology’s Managed IT Services group and added more experience to its healthcare and banking industry teams.

Former CLA team members, led by Tim McFarland, vice president of managed IT services, have joined Marcum Technology as of June 1. Peter Scavuzzo, CEO of Marcum Technology, expressed excitement about the acquisition and the opportunities it brings. He mentioned that this strategic move will help Marcum Technology expand its presence into the Midwest, enhance its IT capabilities in the banking and healthcare industries, and strengthen its commitment to providing excellent IT managed services. Scavuzzo believes that this acquisition will allow them to improve their collective capabilities and provide exceptional customer experiences in new markets.

CLA’s IT Enhanced Managed Services division offers various consulting and outsourcing services, such as business continuity and disaster recovery planning, cybersecurity, and technology advisory and strategy. This acquisition will enable Marcum Technology to offer a wider range of services and expertise to its clients in different industries.
