Manchester United is not satisfied with the offers made by Serie A team Lazio for striker Mason Greenwood this summer. The Premier League club wants to sell Greenwood after a successful loan stint at Getafe last season and is seeking around €40m for his sale in the current transfer window.
Lazio has made several bids for Greenwood, but none have met Manchester United’s expectations. The initial offer from Lazio was €18m with a 50 percent sell-on clause, but this was rejected by Manchester United. Despite Lazio coming back with a revised cash offer of €18m and including goalkeeper Christos Mandas in the deal, Manchester United rejected the proposal.
Manchester United is holding out for a better offer for Greenwood as they believe he has great potential and can fetch a higher price in the transfer market. The Serie A side needs to improve its offers if it wants to acquire Greenwood, who has shown impressive form during his loan spell at Getafe.
