Madison Realty Capital Welcomes New Head of Capital Markets: Samir Tejpaul’s Expertise Brings Fresh Perspective to the Company

Samir Tejpaul has recently joined Madison Realty Capital as their new head of capital markets, coming from Affinius Capital. Tejpaul brings six years of experience from Affinius, where he most recently held the position of head of credit capital markets & specialty asset finance. In his new role, which started on April 1 in New York, Tejpaul will report to Brian Shatz and Josh Zegen, the co-founders and managing principals of Madison Realty Capital.

During his time at Affinius, Tejpaul worked on various deals involving transitional bridge debt, construction, and commercial mortgage-backed securities loans. Prior to joining Square Mile in 2018, he was a vice president in Deutsche Bank’s commercial real estate group. Tejpaul holds the position of current chair of the Alternative Lenders & High Yield Investors Forum with the CRE Finance Council. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and International Business from Georgetown University.

Tejpaul expressed his excitement about working with Madison Realty Capital, stating that the firm is well-positioned for growth in the current environment. He looks forward to collaborating with Shatz and Zegen to capitalize on the opportunities ahead.
