LoL’s Latest Game Mode Swarm | Operation: Anima Squad Offers Cooperative PvE Action During Summer Event

League of Legends is getting a new game mode with Riot Games’ latest announcement. Swarm | Operation: Anima Squad will be introduced during the LoL summer event, which returns this year with an exciting twist on the game’s champions. Inspired by the animal world, the champions have been transformed into cybernetic warriors who must battle against the Abyssal invaders known as Primordians on the Final City map.

The Swarm | Operation: Anima Squad offers players a cooperative PvE gaming experience with a WASD control system. Players can team up with up to three friends and choose from different members of the Anima Squad to fight against the invading Primordians. The game’s focus is on survival, where players must explore the map, defeat enemies, complete missions, and survive as long as possible while unlocking and upgrading weapons and new Anima Squad members to develop diverse strategies to face swarms of enemies. Progress in the game allows players to earn gold for purchasing permanent upgrades that provide advantages in future operations.

The event runs from July 17th until August 19th and includes new champion skins such as Battle Dove Seraphine and Primal Aatrox (legendary). Prestige editions of Cybernetic Kitten Yuumi and Battle Lioness Leona are also available along with various other cybernetic and animal-inspired skins. The event introduces a new champion, Aurora, a Vastaya from Freljord known as The Witch Between Worlds. Aurora’s unique ability to see between material and spiritual realms adds a new level of gameplay dynamics, making her suitable for both top and mid lanes. Her “spirit mode” ability brings an exciting twist to the game.
