Local businesses in Biddulph left concerned and frustrated after spike in burglaries and attempted break-ins

Spate of burglaries targets business owners

Local businesses in Biddulph, Staffordshire have recently experienced a series of burglaries and attempted break-ins within just one week. This has left the owners feeling frustrated and concerned about their security measures.

One of the affected businesses, Biddulph Domestic Services, experienced an unsuccessful break-in attempt at their premises. Meanwhile, Premier Hairdressing was also burglarized, which caused a lot of distress among the staff members. The stolen items included hairdryers and clippers that were used for their work.

Linda, the owner of Premier Hairdressing, expressed her disappointment and mentioned that this was the first time anything like this had happened to her business in 23 years. Fortunately, some of the stolen items were returned by clients who found them discarded in bins or on the ground.

At Biddulph Domestic Services, Andrew Barnett shared that despite a smashed window in the front door, his security glass prevented the burglars from gaining entry into his business. Although he is not worried about any additional attempts at this time, he is still concerned about the cost of repairs for reinforced glass doors with an estimated cost of £300-400 for each piece of glass and installation.

Mr. Barnett also expressed concerns about potential increases in insurance premiums due to these incidents happening in the area. These events are challenging times for local businesses in Biddulph as they struggle to navigate through these unfortunate circumstances while trying to stay updated on similar incidents happening nearby.
