Little lemonade stand hero: Emouree Johnson’s inspiring story of bravery and generosity in the face of loss

Seven-Year-Old’s Lemonade Stand Raises $10,000 for Mother’s Headstone

Recently, a seven-year-old girl from Scottsboro, Alabama named Emouree Johnson took the initiative to start a lemonade stand to raise money for her mother’s headstone. Her mother, Karli Bordner, unexpectedly passed away in March at the young age of 29, leaving Emouree and her family devastated.

Determined to help with the burial expenses, Emouree began charging $1 per cup of lemonade at her stand. Her story quickly caught the attention of the community after a post about it went viral on social media. The response was overwhelming, with almost $10,000 raised to cover the cost of the headstone and other funeral expenses.

The local community and various monument companies showed their support by making donations to Emouree’s lemonade stand. Jennifer Bordner, Emouree’s grandmother, expressed her gratitude for the support they have received. “We are so grateful for everyone who has come forward to help us during this difficult time,” she said.

Emouree says she knows that her mother is now okay and feels proud of the initiative she has taken to help with the funeral costs. The family’s GoFundMe page has also raised an additional $3,500, which will go towards the remaining expenses. The generosity of the community has not only helped financially but has also provided emotional support to the whole family in their time of need.
