McKinley Elementary School Hosts Science Fair – Highlights in News, Sports, and Job Opportunities

A group of fifth graders from McKinley Elementary recently showcased their science projects to a panel of judges, including Lisbon Mayor Peter Wilson, Board of Education members, state highway patrol and police officers, and other community members. The students presented a wide range of projects on topics such as egg shell durability and the effects of games on stress levels.

One project focused on the effectiveness of soap versus grease, presented by Teagan Triplett and Aubree Keys to State Highway Trooper Nathan Bowlen. Skylar Lewis and Myriah Moore investigated egg shell durability while Aubree Pancurak and Torie Young explored the impact of games on stress levels. T.K. Hiscox, president of the Lisbon Board of Education, judged a project from Aubree Pancurak and Torie Young.

The students impressed the judges with their creativity, critical thinking skills, and scientific methods in their presentations. The science fair provided an opportunity for these young minds to explore their passion for scientific inquiry while showcasing their potential as future scientists. It was a proud moment for both the students and the community to witness the enthusiasm and talent displayed by these young scientists.
